The media could not be loaded. I have a small above ground pond and I got a late start on getting it going this summer. I just got 3 out of the 4 fish yesterday, and this video is the first time I fed them. I ordered this fish food yesterday and it arrived today. I chose this particular brand because it’s for a variety of fish, (and mine are comets) and it was a great value for the price. There is a lot of food and it will last the entire season. It comes in a resealable bag, which is perfect to ensure it keeps all summer. I usually keep the bag of food sealed in the garage, and put a small amount in a waterproof container outside so it’s easily accessible.The fish seem to like it so far, but I will update my review if they don’t. Great value for the money! Highly recommended!

I have always feed my fish the floatable round little ball food. They would eat good and wouldn’t get too excited during feed times. With this variety blend my fish are super excited for meal times! So I guess the flavor is to their liking. In my pond I have koi, 20 year old gold fish, shubunkin and angel koi. I have very large fish and then some small ones. This food seems to be meeting their nutritional needs and also boosted their activity level.

Our 4 now adult very healthy (and seemingly happy) fantailed goldfish really like this food. We’ve bought different brands over the years and keep returning to this one. The ziplock top is a real bonus for keeping the 2 lbs. fresh. Our pond fish are not pets that we try to train or have entertain us. We are pleased to enjoy them enjoying the best environment we can provide, which includes constant monitoring of that environment for cleanliness, nutrition and general health. i.e. we care and respond to their needs. If we pass the pond or even linger, they don’t really notice us – which is fine with me, as they are busy doing their thing with each other as fish. However, I do delight every morning at feeding time, when they always swim up to the surface and over to me to receive a handful of their Tetra Variety Blend. This is the only pond fish food they’ve ever responded to so enthusiastically. One other reason I care is that these 4 are the great grandchildren of our original 4 who constantly bred so quickly and in such great numbers that we had 40 of several generations at one point and had to constantly find good pond homes for most every year in order to keep them all and the medium size pond healthy. We rarely lost any to to death and disease, but it was always an issue to worry about – for their sake as captive creatures. After about 8 years, we finally got it down to these 4, with a place of 24/7 health, peaceful harmony and equanimity.

I have been feeding my Koi this food for many years. They LOVE it, and won’t eat any other…especially pellets! During the peak of summer when they are in their usual feeding frenzy cycle, they literally inhale multiple pieces at one time. The variety blend definitely is good for their growth and color. In the fall and spring, I feed them Tetra Spring & Fall Diet which is essentially wheat germ. Both varieties float a long time on the surface, and it’s fun to watch my Koi “rock climb” along the edge of the pond to get the food that catches on the surface of the rocks — they literally wiggle out of the water onto the rocks to make sure they get that one piece! Highly recommend this food for healthy, colorful & well-fed fish!

Almost 30% less than retail store. Cant beat that. The koi/comets love it. If you have smaller comets or goldfish in with the Koi, mix it with some flake food so they can eat that while these soften up in the water.

These cans of fish food work out great for pet goldfish if you have a big 4” one like us. Forget the messy fish flakes and go with these pellets. One of these big cans cost about the same as those tiny jars you get at the grocery store. If your fish is still small these pellets will soften after a few minutes and can be eaten.
