I have an 11 month old, 120 lb mastiff and he absolutely loves these chews. Long lasting and he’s a heavy chewer!

Some others I have ordered and they have been “dried out” these ones are great because they are individually wrapped and stay way more fresh! I will continue to order from them and in fact set up an automatic delivery!

These seemed to last long and not splinter like others have mentioned.

Himalyan chews are expensive, but they last a good long while in my household. We are very particular on what the dogs have. I am comfortable with bully sticks and for the most part, yak chews, and that is pretty much it. We never do rawhide, or anything from China. We don’t even do raw bones– I lost a baby to that and am forever scarred by that experience. No piggy ears, no hooves, no antlers. I am even a little reticent about these given how hard they are- might be too hard for some chewers teeth. However, they seem ok with my babies and their style of chewing.I have two large English labs who enjoy the occasional chew. My boy especially loves his “Yak Sticks”- he will take days and days to get through one. He isn’t seeking to work through it all at once, hence why I am still ok with giving him these. He likes to lick, nibble, gnaw, and chew for awhile then let it be. He will return to it when he feels like it. I can toss it in with their bucket of toys, and he will find it when ready. He loves to carry toys outside with him, so I have to be careful to not let him take this outdoors lest he drop it and forget about it. I have eyes on when he is playing with this, as he likes to roll around with it and sometime have it in his mouth while on his back. Add his sister into the mix, and I am doubly observant. If on the rare occasion he seems to really be going to town on it, or if his more chew driven sister decides to give one attention, then I limit them to playing/gnawing on it to 10-15 minutes or so then put it up out of reach for awhile. So as with ANYTHING, keep an eye on your pooch when enjoying these. They work for my babies, but they may not for yours.

For perspective, I have a 10 month old boxer-mix, who weighs about 70lbs. She is a heavy chewer. I’ve spent so much money on chew toys and various nylabones for her, but she destroys pretty much everything. I became more concerned when I realized how quickly she would chew through the nylabones- I would have to throw them away as soon as she started taking little chunks of plastic off & they didn’t last as long anymore- and from past experience, I don’t trust raw hide either. I discovered this particular yak chew brand through some research and I bought it based on the positive reviews, the simple ingredients (salt-free was a big plus, as majority of the other yak chews have salt as a 3rd ingredient), and that it’s 100% edible (unlike Nylabones or other chew toys). I bought the “X-Large” and it lasted a little over a week, but the “XXL” has been lasting much-much longer! We also only give her the yak chew while supervised and for a couple of hours at a time. So far she loves it and I feel more at ease knowing it’s an edible chew- no plastic pieces being digested or chunks of raw hide! Highly recommend this particular brand and will be purchasing more! Well worth it for a safer chew alternative! You can also microwave the small end piece for a crunchy little snack- so zero waste (soak the end piece in water for at least 5 minutes, microwave 60seconds and 5 seconds more at a time till it’s puffed- instructions found on on the Kathmandu’s Yak website)! love this!

I have found that good quality Yak Chews are expensive no matter where you buy them. These are really nice chunky chews. They are individually wrapped and come in a box. I like that you can buy them 5 at a time. I have several dogs and they are aggressive chewers. I give it to them as a treat to chew on for a while, especially when I have something to do, and then put it away. They last longer that way. Great product, good quality. Have bought several times and will continue to do so!

We started getting this brand because the other brand we were getting kept having quality issues. So far the quality has been great, and the price is fair for the product.

The media could not be loaded. We have a Husky, a German Shepard, and a min pin/dachshund/chihuahua and they love these!! Even our largest dog the Shepard doesn’t seem to go through them as quickly as I would have suspected. We bought them as an alternative treat due to the Shepard’s allergies.

Yak chews are super cool. They last a long time, totally digestible and the dog loves them.
